Our relaxation massage is a full body massage to relax muscle. Its all about overall physical relaxation. There's no bells or whistles, music or stinky candles. The focus is on working every muscle group with a range of techniques to remove tension and leave you feeling completely relaxed.

As with all our massage treatments we tailor our relaxation massege to you. During the massage we will enquire if the pressure is enough or too much, if there are specific areas, or sections of muscle that you would like more attention on. You’re in control. You direct the massage to meet your needs.

For relaxation massages you can reqest longer, full body length strokes. Deeper, broader strokes. Facial massage. Abdominal massage. Foot, reflexology massage. Neck and shoulders only, back only, legs only, upper body only, lower body only, whatever suits you to make you relaxed.

Our remedial massage starts with an assessment. We look at range of motion, posture, body allignment, strength, gait and function. We take the time to discuss injuries, recent and past, and even consult with other alied health professionals to tailor the right massage for you. If you come to us with a sore back we will look for the underlying cause and treat not just the back but any other areas effected, or that contributed to the sore back. For exapmle, hip issues can contribute to lower back pain, and lower back pain can cause neck and shoulder pain. Our treatment is wholistic and our aim is to improve the situation not just put a 'band aid' on for the short term.

We also perform assisted stretching, including PNF stretches, as well as advise on self help strategies to prolong the benifits of massage and improve your outcome.

As with all of our treatments our Remedial massages are tailored to you and your specific needs. You are always in control and can direct the massage as you need, for pressure and target muscles. We don't just offer a set pattern or method but respond and react to what we find and your specific needs. Attention to detail and feeling for change in the muscle direct the treatment, not the clock or a routine.

Our desire is to treat our clients for the best possible outcome. As much as we love seeing our clients come back, we hope to treat your issue so that you don't need to come back, or at least less often if it's a chronic issue.

Sports massage is broken down into 4 parts. Pre-event, during event, post event recovery and mainenence.

Pre-event massage is designed to prepare the muscles for work by increasing circulation and freedom of movement. This is not like a normal strong massage that would cause micro tearing of muscle. Instead it is fast low pressure long strokes with attention to joint mobility and circulation.

During event massage is generally for athletes who require a brief treatment for cramping or tightening of muscle which can occure during the event. Treatments can be short and as often as needed during an event, be it football, cycling or running for example.

Post event recovery massage is to increase ciculation and promote the removal of waste products caused by muscular exertion and reduce muscle tighness post activity. As muscles work they produce lactic acid. Post event massage accelerates the removal of this by-product and reduces recovery time.

Maintence of your body is an essential part of training for an event as much as is good nutrion and exercise. Massage promotes the developemnt of healthy muscle and the production of cells inside those muscles that convert fuel into energy for use in the muscle. As we train we get tightness and fatigue. Maintenance massage is tailered to keep the muscles in optimal condition to keep training at your best. It also gives us a chance to feel the muscle for potential muscular imbalance issues that may be developing during training and correct them before they negatively impact on your goals.

As a client you can choose when and how we can support you in your sport. We have set up a table on the side of a football field and next to a race track. Being mobile we can work when and where you need us to help you achive your sporting goals.
